Kyocera Hydro AIR Review of Pros And Cons

Picture of the Kyocera Hydro AIR, by Kyocera

- Analysis by KJ David

Kyocera's Hydro AIR hits the Android airwaves with several familiar rugged pros from the brand, namely, an IP57- (waterproof) and MIL-STD-810G-certified (shock-proof) casing and an impact-resistant screen (5-inch) with Wet Touchscreen Operation . The MaxiMZR and Eco Mode for its battery also reprise their roles, though we expected more than 2300mAh capacity . As for its cons, many 2015 shoppers might find its 5- and 2-megapixel cameras quite low-key, considering the rapid increase in mobile camera resolutions around the time of its release. Its 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and qHD (960 x 540) display resolution lie on basic Android territory, too.

Essentially, the Hydro AIR trades off some layers of technology for a sturdier-than-usual physique.
