Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo Review & Pros And Cons

Picture of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo, by Samsung

- Analysis by KJ David

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo has something new over the 2014 S5 (quad-core 2.5GHz) in the form of its 1.6GHz octa-core CPU , which could also be a con, as some people prefer higher clock speeds over more operating cores. The accompanying 2800mAh battery and 2GB RAM remain intact, though, the latter we think could have been nicely bumped up to 3GB. Imaging-wise, the 16-megapixel f/1.9 rear camera saw no upgrade , but the Neo favorably sports a more-advanced selfie cam (5-megapixel) than its base model (2-megapixel). The Super AMOLED 5.1-inch Full HD display was untouched as well, with a similar IP67 water- and dust-tight casing housing its pros and cons.

In conclusion, this model features a couple of neo perks, but nothing that we have not seen on the high-end market as of its release.
