The Fling is one of Alcatel's 2014 flip phones that nod to a relatively practical or elder target audience. Just like most other basic phones, it settles for a limited 256MB memory 
with only 128MB worth of RAM to match. The Fling's 850mAh battery also joins its list of cons, coming short of many comparable models.
As for the pros, this dual-screen (2.4-inch main, 1.44-inch external) model comes with a dedicated 911 button 
, which might come in handy for seniors. A microSD card slot also does not come around too often for this particular form factor.
It appears to pack most expected features, but the Fling might be too simple for one's taste.
