Kyocera puts a strong focus on rugged and waterproof smartphones as well as some classic phones too. Their Kyocera Hydro and Dura lines, in particular, comply to a variety of military specifications for ruggedness. They release only a handful of new phones per year and they tend to make more flip phones and basic models than other manufacturers.
