The Plum Ram 7's LED flash-equipped 5-megapixel rear camera is not only a clear upgrade from the Ram 6's 1.3-megapixel shooter, it's also relatively-promising compared to similar models from other brands. The Ram 7 having a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper also sits well over the fact that its predecessor didn't even have a selfie camera at all.
As for power-related pros and cons, the Plum Ram 7 does not sport a clear advantage mAh-wise, since its 1700mAh battery falls behind those of some of its competition . However, its 37.5-day stand-by and 24-hour talk time stand out .

For a simple rugged device, this phone also boasts promising memory specs. 128MB's worth of storage memory and 64MB of RAM normally doesn't sound like much -- but in this case, these are enough to give the Plum Ram 7 an edge compared to similar handhelds.
The Ram 7's display has a few pros and cons of its own. On the bright side, its scratch-resistant finish bolsters its ruggedness. However, the unimpressive 320 x 240 resolution is a con.
The Plum Ram 7, on paper, looks like a promising prospect for rugged-phone hunters on a budget -- as long as they can excuse its bulkiness and ultra-basic display quality.
