On-paper Review rating:
The ZTE Z431 has a camcorder but its top recording rate of 15 frames per second (fps) is sort of low. In comparison, cinema movies have a rate of 24fps and most TV sets display 30 fps.
We're not impressed, given the ZTE Z431's 2-megapixel camera.

The ZTE Z431 doesn't come with an included memory card but it has a slot for up to 32GB of memory expansion, which will be convenient to save videos and pictures shot with the included 2-megapixel camera.
Though the 2-megapixel camera is only basic, it at least offer a few advanced control options, such as: Timer, Negative mode, Lighting Condition Settings, Contrast Adjustment, Brightness Adjustment, Black and White, Resolution (Standard/Portrait Normal/Fine), Shutter sound

This phone will let you download JAVA MIDP 2.1 apps. Definitely a plus, but don't expect to have as a good a choice as what your friends who own an Android smartphones or an iPhone can get in terms of free apps. The Java library of apps is more limited and less free apps are available.
