Compare The Moto G3 vs Moto G4

As we start our Moto G3 vs Moto G4 comparison, we already have a feeling that the newer G4 will outperform the G3 in all aspects. Compared to the G3, the G4 looks more capable performance-wise, strutting around with an octa-core 1.5GHz CPU, which clearly overpowers the G3's quad-core 1.4GHz processor. The G4 also packs 32GB of storage capacity, which litterally dwarfs the 8GB ROM offered by the G3.

The G4 is bested by the G3 in a couple of areas, though, even if the differences are quite small. The G3 shows a slightly-narrower profile with its 72.4-millimeter width and 142.1-millimeter height, compared to the G4's width of 76.6 millimeters and height of 153 millimeters. Performance

As mentioned earlier, the Moto G4 kicks up more dust compared to the Moto G3 when it comes to processing. The G3 houses a quad-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor, which seems unlikely to put up much of a fight against the G4's octa-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 CPU.
Their storage capacities also differ a lot, with the G3's 8GB of ROM getting overshadowed by the G4's 32GB of built-in memory (there is also a 16GB version). RAM-wise, the G3 also concedes to the G4, being limited to only 1GB of RAM versus the G4's 2GB of RAM.

Physical Features

Comparing the thickness of the Moto G3 vs Moto G4, the G4 still emerges victorious, as suggested by its 9.8-millimeter depth, versus the G3 and its thickness of 11.6 millimeters. But despite this, the G4 still seems unlikely to join our list of Thinnest Cellphones as of 2016, exclusively featuring different phones that are less than nine millimeters thick.
The G3, at least, boasts of a slightly-narrower profile, measuring 72.4 millimeters wide and 142.1 millimeters high, which is just a little bit more pocket-friendly compared to the G4's 76.6-millimeter width and 153-millimeter height -- a weakness naturally explained by its bigger screen, however.
